The fourth human spaceflight mission by Axiom Space, Axiom-4 (Ax-4), which is being piloted by Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, has been rescheduled to June 10. Initially set for liftoff on June 8, the launch has been pushed back by two days due to scheduling adjustments at the International Space Station (ISS), according to updates from NASA and Axiom Space.

The mission will lift off aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, carrying Shukla and fellow crew members — mission commander and veteran astronaut Peggy Whitson, Tibor Kapu from Hungary, and Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski from Poland. The crew will ride the new Dragon spacecraft, which was rolled out to the launch pad on Saturday.

The Ax-4 team has been in pre-launch quarantine since May 25, undergoing final health screenings and intensive survival training.

NASA confirmed that the Dragon capsule is expected to dock with the ISS on June 11 at around 10 pm IST (12:30 pm EDT), marking a major step in the growing role of private space missions and international collaboration in low-Earth orbit.
