Indian mango festival in Washington draws massive crowds at Dupont Circle
Thousands joined India’s mango festival in Washington, enjoying Kesar, Langra, biryani and authentic Indian flavours.
Washington witnessed a vibrant celebration of Indian food and culture as thousands gathered at Dupont Circle for the Embassy of India’s annual mango tasting festival. The event, themed Taste the Tropical Magic, attracted over 8,000 registrations and featured popular Indian mango varieties, including Kesar, Langra and Malda alongside biryani, mango halwa, lassi, Indian tea and coffee.
India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, described the festival as more than a fruit showcase, calling it a celebration of India’s diverse flavours and traditions. Compared to last year’s single tasting booth, the event expanded to a large scale due to overwhelming public response.
