Raipur witnessed a vibrant celebration of India’s favourite fruit as the National Mango Festival opened at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University. More than 250 mango varieties from across the country were showcased, drawing visitors, farmers, researchers, and horticulture enthusiasts.

From tiny berry-sized mangoes to the famous Hathijhool mango of Bijapur, the exhibition highlighted the rich diversity of India's mango heritage.

The event also served as a knowledge-sharing platform, where farmers and experts discussed advanced mango farming methods, new mango varieties, and modern agriculture technologies. Participants from Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and other states displayed their produce.

Chhattisgarh's nearly 75,000 hectares of mango cultivation provide the state's farmers with a chance to market regional varieties and make a name for themselves in both domestic and foreign markets.
