Kochi: Malayalam cinema’s beloved actor Mohanlal attended the screening of his debut directorial venture, Barroz, at Forum Mall in Kochi. The film, aimed not only at children but also at the "children within adults," is receiving attention for its unique storytelling.

Speaking to the media, Mohanlal explained that the film took about 1,650 days to shoot, describing the experience as a transformative one. "After 1,650 days, I have found my liberation, just like Barroz," he remarked. He emphasized that the film is designed to be child-friendly, focusing on both younger audiences and adults who retain their youthful spirit.

Mohanlal also shed light on the technical aspects of the film, highlighting its distinctiveness. Barroz is India’s first 3D film in 40 years, using a native 3D shot technique with stereo lenses. The actor elaborated on the unique shooting style and soundscape, explaining that the film's presentation is different in every aspect, creating a fresh cinematic experience. "Viewers may experience discomfort like headaches due to sudden pans, tilt-ups, and cuts, but this is a film designed with the audience's psyche in mind," he added.

Reflecting on his career, Mohanlal shared that he never had aspirations for large-scale films initially. "My journey in cinema began at Navodaya, and my directorial career also started there," he said, pointing out the significance of his roots in shaping his creative path.
