The expectations were so huge as it was the directorial debut of superstar Mohanlal, one of the living legends of the Indian film industry. Fans and aficionados were equally curious as they waited for the release of the film.
However, Barroz, released on December 25, has received mixed reactions from the audience. Now, Mohanlal has responded to both the positive and negative feedback the movie has garnered. The actor shared his thoughts in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
"From here on, it is the audience's responsibility to carry the film forward. After four decades, I see Barroz as something I am giving back to society. Everyone who watched the film enjoyed it. But there are people who haven't even seen the movie criticising it," said Mohanlal.
The actor emphasised that he is someone who accepts criticism. "When you criticise something, you should have a proper understanding of it. I have never claimed that Barroz should be compared to Hollywood movies or the technology used there. This was just an experimental attempt from me and my extraordinarily talented team," he added.
