The much-anticipated trailer of "Kattalan", produced by Shareef Muhammed and directed by debutant Paul George, has been released. The film features Antony Varghese Pepe, Dushara Vijayan, Sunil, and Kabir Duhan Singh in lead roles.
The trailer has sparked immense excitement and curiosity among audiences. A distinctive feature is that it is available in three music-track variants: Jungle Beast Theme, Wild Beast Theme, and Ocean Beast Theme.

The trailer suggests that "Kattalan" brings some of the most brutal and untamed visuals centred on the illegal ivory trade. With never-before-seen frames of blood-soaked conflict, explosive action, and visually captivating sequences, the trailer promises a high-intensity cinematic experience. Recently released posters featuring the cast positioned amidst heaps of elephant tusks and weapons, and another introducing the film's young ensemble, had already caught widespread attention. Indications point to "Kattalan" being a high-voltage action thriller narrating a story of elephant poaching, vengeance, and survival. As the film gears up to ignite theatres with its raw energy this summer, audiences eagerly await its arrival.
The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in May.
The theme music composed by Ravi Basrur, the acclaimed composer behind several large-scale productions, was released recently to overwhelming response. This marks his second collaboration with Cubes Entertainments after Marco. Having created waves with his powerful background scores in pan-Indian films including KGF, Basrur's music in the trailer, resonating with the wild rhythms of the forest hints at another extraordinary soundscape for "Kattalan". Noted Kannada composer B. Ajaneesh Loknath is also contributing to the film's music.
After an extensive 140-day schedule, "Kattalan" was recently completed. The lyrical video of the song 'Majako Mallika', infused with the raw pulse of the wilderness, has already captured social-media attention. The film's teaser went viral upon release. T-Series has acquired the music rights, while Shemaroo serves as the digital and satellite distribution partner. Hombale Films, producers of grand films such as KGF and Kantara, have secured the Karnataka theatrical distribution rights for a record amount. Industry giants Phars Films have obtained the overseas distribution rights.
With cutting-edge technical craft and a large-scale budget, expectations are high that "Kattalan" will become one of Malayalam cinema's most visually spectacular films. Dushara Vijayan, who has carved a niche for herself with notable roles in Tamil cinema, appears as the leading lady.
Alongside Antony Varghese Pepe, the film features an impressive ensemble of Malayalam and pan-Indian actors including Sunil, Kabir Duhan Singh, Jagadish, Siddique, Anson Paul, Raj Tirandasu, Shon Joy, rapper Baby Jean, Hanan Shaah, Kill star Parth Tiwari, Lokah fame Shibin S. Raghavan, Hipster Pranav Raj and Call Me Venom. Their character-reveal posters, released recently, drew considerable attention.
"Kattalan" is written by Paul George, Joby Varghese and Jero Jacob. Dialogues are by Unni R., known for celebrated films such as Big B, Chappa Kurish, Munnariyippu and Charlie. Editing is by Shameer Muhammed. Rising music talent Nihal Sadiq has composed an electrifying promo track for the film.
