Produced by Shareef Muhammed under the banner of Cubes Entertainments, and directed by Paul George, the film is gearing up for its theatrical release. This latest announcement sparks excitement among fans. The collaboration between Cubes Entertainments and Hombale Films ensures a massive release for the film across Karnataka. The theme music composed by Ravi Basrur, known for his work on large-scale movies, was released recently and received overwhelming appreciation. This marks Ravi Basrur's second collaboration with Cubes Entertainments after Marco. Having delivered powerful background scores for pan-Indian blockbusters including KGF, Ravi Basrur's wild, forest-inspired theme track hints at the scale and intensity he brings to "Kattalan". Thai elephant Pong, famed for its appearance in the movie Ong-Bak, is also part of the film. The globally renowned stunt choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee, whose credits include Ong-Bak 2, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Jawan, Baaghi 2, and Ponniyin Selvan: Part I, has choreographed the action sequences. Filming began in Thailand under his supervision.

The film is expected to emerge as one of Malayalam cinema's grandest visual spectacles, backed by a substantial budget and extensive technical expertise. Dushara Vijayan, who has carved a distinct space in Tamil cinema, plays the female lead. Anthony Varghese Pepe leads a star-studded ensemble featuring prominent actors from Malayalam and across India.
