Thiruvananthapuram: All children and families are invited to the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters 2026 (MBIFL 2026), scheduled to be held at Kanakakunnu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram, from January 29 to February 1. The festival’s children’s zone, Alphaverse, promises an immersive and joyful experience with songs, stories, drawings, games, crafts and creative learning activities.

Alphaverse will feature special sessions with General Education Minister V Sivankutty, presentations by Indulekha Warrier with 'Induvum Kurunnukalum' (Indu and children), inspirational talks by Malavika Iyer and Babar Ali, as well as interactive workshops on puppet-making, clay modelling, drawing, food literacy, book quizzes, storytelling, kirigami, paper crafts, newspaper costume design, mask-making, theatre, movement therapy and online safety.

The children’s zone will also include a dedicated game area, ensuring entertainment alongside learning. Organisers said Alphaverse is designed to offer a unique and memorable experience for children during the MBIFL celebrations.
