National Institute of Technology Rourkela has notified the admission to the vacant seats that may arise at the institute in some of the M.Tech. programmes after admission through CCMT-2024. 

The Institute will be filling up those vacant seats under various departments under Self-financing Mode (GATE/Non-GATE).

The Departments and areas of Specialisation are as follows: (i) Biotechnology and Medical Engineering: Biotechnology, Biomedical Engg (ii) Civil Engineering: Geotechnical Engineering; Structural Engineering; Transportation Engineering; Water Resource Engineering; Environmental Engineering (iii) Computer Science and Engineering- Software Engineering-(SE), Computer Science (iv) Chemical Engineering- Chemical Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering (v) Ceramic Engineering- Industrial Ceramics (vi) Electronics and Communication Engg.-  Communication and Networks (CN), Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EI), RF and Microwave systems, Signal and Image Processing (SIP) (vii) Electrical Engineering- Electronic System & Communication, Control & Automation, Power Electronics & Drives, Power system Engineering (viii) Earth and Atmospheric Sciences- Atmosphere and Ocean Science (ix) Food Process Engineering-(FP)- Food Process Engineering-(FP) (x) Industrial Design-(ID)- Industrial Design Engineering (xi) Mechanical Engineering- Mechanical Systems Design & Control, Manufacturing and Automation Engineering, Thermal Science and Energy Engineering, Industrial Refrigeration and Cryogenics Engineering (xii) Metallurgical & Materials Engineering- Metallurgical & Materials Engg. Eligibility: Applicants should have B. E. /B. Tech/M. Sc. or equivalent degree in the discipline as mentioned in the Notification at https://www.nitrkl.ac.in/. In qualifying degree, the candidates should have passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA/ 60% (6.0 CGPA/55% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates). 

Those appearing B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. (final semester) examination may also apply for the above programmes. However, they have to produce their mark/grade sheet showing 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 in aggregate latest by 30th September 2024, failing which their admission will stand cancelled.

Selection will be made on the basis of marks/CGPA secured in the qualifying degree and a written and/or oral examination to be conducted by the concerned department. Selection Criteria may be different for different departments.

Application Fee of Rs.500/- can be paid online during 14th August 2024 to 19th August 2024.
