Thiruvananthapuram: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has published the first-phase allotment results for MBBS and BDS admissions across government and private self-financing colleges in the state. Candidates who have been allotted seats must complete their admission formalities by September 5.

MBBS admissions overview

Government Medical Colleges: Across 14 government medical colleges, a total of 1,494 MBBS seats were allotted, with admissions reaching up to rank 33,544 across various categories.

  • State merit: 476 students received allotments, with the closing rank standing at 721.

  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 133 candidates secured seats, with allotments extending up to rank 3,256.

  • Top preferred colleges: Kozhikode Government Medical College emerged as the most preferred choice among high-ranking candidates, followed closely by Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur medical colleges.

Self-financing Medical Colleges: In 21 private self-financing medical institutions, 2,928 allotments were made, covering ranks up to 22,759 across categories.

  • State merit: 781 candidates were allotted seats, with a cut-off rank of 9,716.

  • EWS category: 94 candidates secured admissions up to rank 18,633.

  • Top preferred colleges: Malabar Medical College, Jubilee Mission Medical College and Amala Institute of Medical Sciences were the top choices among applicants in the self-financing sector.

BDS admissions overview

Government Dental Colleges: A total of 238 seats were allotted across six government dental colleges, with admissions extending up to rank 29,259 across categories.

  • State merit: 91 candidates secured seats, with the closing rank recorded at 3,245.

  • EWS category: 23 candidates were allotted seats up to rank 5,134.

  • Top preferred colleges: Government Dental Colleges in Kozhikode, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram were the most sought-after by top rank holders.

Self-financing Dental Colleges: Across 17 private self-financing dental colleges, 1,233 allotments were issued, with admissions reaching rank 30,638.

  • State merit: 527 students were allotted seats up to rank 21,259.

  • EWS category: 24 candidates received allotments up to rank 27,971.

  • Top preferred colleges: KMCT Dental College, Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences and Mar Baselios Dental College were the preferred destinations for students.

Admission procedure and key dates

Candidates who have received an allotment in the first round must download their allotment memo and complete the joining process between 29 August and 5 September (4:00 PM).

  • Government allottees: Candidates must pay the prescribed fee online into the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations account as detailed in their allotment memo.

  • Self-financing allottees: Candidates should pay the required fees directly at their allotted institutions during admission.

  • Fee concession recipients: Eligible candidates entitled to fee concessions are exempt from paying the token fee.

All candidates must present their allotment memo, data sheet, fee receipt and all original certificates specified in the prospectus directly to their allotted college.

Failure to complete the admission process within the stipulated deadline will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat and candidates will be disqualified from participating in subsequent allotment rounds. Option confirmation remains mandatory for candidates wishing to take part in the next round.
