In a remarkable coincidence, 24 pairs of identical twins turned up to sit the NEET exam at the Ezhukone Government Polytechnic centre.

Kollam (Kerala): Sithara and Sayujya arrived first, dressed in identical colours alongside their mother, Viji Prasad. Soon after came Anna and Aleena, Sona and Sareena, and Alphin C Sojan and Alok C Sojan. In an extraordinary coincidence, 24 pairs of identical twins arrived one after the other to appear for the NEET exam at the Ezhukone Government Polytechnic Centre.
The striking resemblance among the candidates left the invigilators, exam staff and police security personnel utterly amazed. Out of the 144 candidates originally registered at the polytechnic centre, 102 appeared for the exam. The registration list featured an unprecedented 35 pairs of twins.
While 24 complete pairs attended together, the remaining 11 pairs saw only one sibling turning up for the test. As the candidates entered the exam halls, their parents gathered outside to share their unique experiences.
Many recounted the logistical nightmares they faced during the previously cancelled NEET exam, where their twins were allocated different centres, forcing parents to scramble across multiple locations to drop them off and pick them up.
With endless stories of raising twins to discuss, the mothers formed a WhatsApp group within minutes.
Later, when some parents moved to a nearby house for lunch and rest, they discovered yet another twin connection. The homeowner, Sujatha, welcomed them and fondly shared memories of her late twin sister, Sumangala.
After sharing lunch and tea, the parents waited together for their children to finish, turning an otherwise stressful exam day into an afternoon of warmth and friendship. When the exam concluded, parents introduced their children to one another, took group selfies, and most families eventually departed together.
