Malappuram: CPM independent MLA K T Jaleel has firmly stated that he does not require the support of any political party in the future. Jaleel emphasised his complete independence and expressed that he no longer sees the need for political backing. Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, he mentioned that while he agrees with some of MLA P V Anvar's views, there are certain points of disagreement. The details, Jaleel said, would be disclosed after the release of his book on Wednesday.
K T Jaleel said that he is the first left representative from Malappuram district to have held office for 20 consecutive years. Reflecting on his political journey, he said, "Apart from parliamentary work, there are many other tasks ahead of me. I am no longer interested in parliamentary politics, and I see no need to serve as a board chairman anymore."

He added that a few matters require clarification. "I do not seek anyone's support or assistance in the future," Jaleel stated.
Jaleel strongly emphasised that neither he nor his family would need help from any political figure or party. "Even if the help comes from the Chief Minister, CPM, Congress, or any other party, I can confidently say I won’t be needing it," he said.
While agreeing with many of P V Anvar’s observations, Jaleel maintained that he disagrees with several of Anvar’s positions as well. "I don’t need anyone’s help, nor do I feel the need to please anyone," he added.
Interestingly, the statement comes at a time when CPM-backed PV Anvar severed ties with the ruling party faction. Anvar appears to be a whistleblower and has been attacking the CPM-led state government and its Chief Minister, with a particular focus on the affairs of the Home Department and the CM's political secretary. Jaleel's statement hints at a similar whistleblower stint.
