Kannur: Despite the Kerala government’s action against ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar, the MLA who levelled serious allegations against the top police official has fired a fresh salvo. According to P V Anvar, the DGP recommended the suspension of ADGP Kumar, but the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) intervened and removed the suspension from the recommendation.
Anvar stated that the action taken against Kumar is not disciplinary but merely an order transferring a police officer. “If it had been a disciplinary action, precise reasons would have been recorded in the order,” Anvar said.
“Ajith Kumar is the first entity protecting the CMO from investigations by central agencies. As far as the BJP is concerned, this is a profitable trade. Ajith Kumar managed to secure an MP seat for Thrissur for them. Now, he is expected to facilitate the BJP in obtaining the Palakkad Assembly seat,” Anvar alleged.
“There are numerous senior and honest police officers who wish to eliminate the criminal gang from the police force,” the MLA added.
