Thiruvananthapuram: K M Abraham, former Chief Secretary and Chief Principal Secretary to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, is set to participate in the upcoming Mumbai Marathon. The marathon, scheduled for January 19, will see Abraham running to show support for the victims of the deadly landslides that devastated Wayanad district last year.

Abraham, who also serves as the CEO of Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), will wear a special jersey during the marathon. The jersey will highlight the theme 'Run for Wayanad', expressing solidarity with those affected by the disaster.

Supporting Wayanad: Call for donations

In addition to the theme, the jersey and accompanying flag will urge people to donate generously to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) for the rehabilitation efforts in Wayanad. The design will also include the CMDRF account details to make it easier for people to contribute.

The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, will hand over the jersey and flag to Abraham after the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, in the presence of other ministers, a government source confirmed.

Abraham is no stranger to marathons. He previously completed the London Marathon, adding another milestone to his impressive athletic journey.
