
Athirappilly, Thrissur: A wild elephant attacked a car carrying the crew of the Kalyani Priyadarshan-Naslan film, produced by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films, early this morning. The crew narrowly escaped the attack while traveling through a forest-fringe area in Athirapally, located in Thrissur district.
The attack occurred around 6:30 am when the crew, consisting of five people, was en route to a shooting location in the Athirapally area. One of the passengers recalled the harrowing moment when they first spotted the elephant from a distance of about 100 meters. He described the incident, saying, "We first saw the jumbo from a distance of 100 meters. It suddenly came running towards our vehicle. We were shell-shocked and we could not even reverse the car as there were other vehicles behind us."

As the crew tried to steer the car away from the elephant, the enraged tusker attacked the vehicle, attempting to drag it with its tusks. According to them, the wild elephant attempted to damage the vehicle and drag it with its tusks. Despite the chaos, all the crew members were able to escape to safety.
The police have confirmed that they received information about the attack, but fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Local residents identified the elephant as "Murivalan," a rogue tusker known for causing damage and straying into human settlements. The footage of the attack has now gone viral on social media.
