Kochi, Kerala: Kerala businessman Boby Chemmanur arrested on a sexual harassment case filed by Malayalam actor Honey Rose, is reported to have received VIP treatment while in jail. According to an intelligence report, three VIPs visited him, but their names were not recorded in the visitors register.
The incident has raised serious concerns about possible lapses in jail security and protocols. The jail department is expected to conduct an investigation, focusing on CCTV footage to determine how the unauthorised visits occurred. The intelligence report suggests interference from a high-ranking jail official, which could have contributed to Boby's special treatment.

The arrest of Boby Chemmanur came after a complaint filed by Honey Rose. The Ernakulam Central Police, following the complaint, arrested Boby at his estate in Wayanad. He was taken to Ernakulam, where the charges were officially registered. After his arrest, Boby was placed on remand. The Kerala High Court has stated that bail can be granted to Boby in the case, with the order expected to be issued around 3:30 pm today.
