Kochi: Actress Honey Rose has strongly responded to recent online abuse regarding her attire, asserting that she will not tolerate obscene remarks and is prepared to take legal action against the offenders.

In a post shared on her Instagram handle, Honey Rose made it clear that she has always adhered to the norms of the Indian legal system in her clothing choices and will not be held accountable for others creating their own codes of conduct based on personal beliefs.

She explained that attending events and wearing attire suitable for such occasions is part of her professional duties. However, she expressed her dissatisfaction with the offensive comments that followed after she made public appearances, where some individuals criticised her clothing in derogatory and obscene ways.

She clarified that while she welcomes constructive criticism and humour, there must be reasonable limits when it comes to respect and decency. “I have no objection to constructive or creative criticism or jokes about my attire or myself, and I don't mind them. However, I believe there should be reasonable restrictions to such remarks and gestures," Honey Rose stated.

She also emphasised that any obscene or derogatory remarks made toward her would not go unnoticed. She stated that she is fully prepared to take legal action and pursue justice, using the protections provided to women under the Indian Penal Code. She made a declaration, vowing to ‘declare war’ on those who use social media to spread vulgar language and abuse women, not just for herself, but for all women who face similar situations.
