Bhavnagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the public gathering in Bhavnagar stated the urgent need for India to eliminate its dependence on foreign nations, declaring self-reliance as the only path forward for national strength, pride, and prosperity.

Speaking to a charged crowd, PM Modi said, “Duniya mein koi hamara bada dushman nahi hai. Agar hamara koi dushman hai toh woh hai dusre deshon par hamari nirbharta. (We have no major enemy in the world. Our biggest enemy is our dependence on other countries.)”

Framing self-reliance as a matter of national dignity and survival, the Prime Minister asserted that the country cannot afford to let its future be determined by external forces. He urged citizens and industries alike to rally behind the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

“For global peace, stability, and prosperity, the country with the world's largest population must become Atmanirbhar,” he said. “If we remain dependent on others, our self-respect will be hurt. We cannot leave the future of 1.4 billion countrymen to others”

Calling dependence “the enemy of India,” PM Modi stressed that the nation must constantly remind itself of this challenge and work collectively to overcome it.

“There is only one medicine for a hundred sorrows, and that is a self-reliant India.”

PM Modi also reaffirmed India’s commitment to the world as a peaceful and cooperative global player, invoking the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family).

“Today, India is moving forward with the spirit of 'Vishwabandhu',” he said, referring to India’s aspiration to be a friend and partner to the entire world.
