The buzz around Allu Arjun’s arrest, detention, and subsequent release on bail over Friday and Saturday has taken the internet by storm. The popular Telugu actor was arrested from his home on Friday in connection with the tragic death of a woman during a stampede at the screening of his latest film, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'.
While Arjun was granted interim bail and released on Saturday, the celebrations at his residence have sparked outrage online, especially since a minor injured in the same incident remains in critical condition.

"Insensitive celebrations," say netizens
Once Allu Arjun returned to his Jubilee Hills residence, fans and fellow celebrities gathered to show their support. Photos and videos of Arjun smiling alongside Tollywood stars like Vijay Deverakonda, Naga Chaitanya, Rana Daggubati, and director Sukumar went viral. However, the "celebratory vibe" did not sit well with the internet. Many called it "unnecessary" and "insensitive."
Critics questioned the sincerity of the events, claiming it seemed more like a publicity strategy. A comment read, "The arrest was unfair, and now that Allu Arjun is back, what is all this tamasha? The entire Tollywood descending to his house feels like a PR stunt. They need to simmer down."
One user remarked, "Shamelessly celebrating the bail moments but no one cares about the woman’s family. Overall, Revanth Reddy is portrayed as a daring leader who didn’t fear taking bold steps."
Another user noted, "These are mere actors who make their living with publicity. All emotional scenes took place in front of the press. Needless to explain that it’s not coincidental."
Calls for introspection, not celebration
Amidst the backlash, some fans expressed disappointment over the lack of reflection from the actor.
"Today should have been a day of introspection, not celebration. I like Allu Arjun, but the non-stop celebrity visits and the publicity around it has tilted the scales in favour of Revanth Reddy," wrote a disappointed fan.
The case
The uproar stems from the events of December 4, when a stampede broke out at a Hyderabad theatre screening 'Pushpa 2'. Allu Arjun had made an unscheduled visit to the auditorium, causing chaos. A woman lost her life, and her son was critically injured. Many felt the celebrations overlooked the gravity of the situation.
