The case relates to a stampede during the premiere show in which a woman was killed, and her son sustained critical injuries.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police have submitted a chargesheet in the stampede case linked to the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in 2024, with actor Allu Arjun named among the accused.
The police stated that the incident happened due to negligence on the part of the Sandhya Theatre management, which was named as the prime accused, while Arjun has been named as accused no 11.
Earlier, Allu Arjun was arrested after the 35-year-old woman died and her eight-year-old son was injured in the stampede during the screening of ‘Pushpa 2' movie at Sandhya theatre here on December 4, 2024.
The stampede happened as fans gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor during the 'Pushpa 2' premiere.
Earlier, the police had booked the theatre management, the actor and members of his team under charges including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024, and produced before the Nampally court, which remanded him to 14-day judicial custody. He later approached the Telangana High Court, which granted him interim bail on the same day. The actor was released from Chanchalguda Jail the following day.
