Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar continues its record-breaking run at the box office, adding another historic milestone on its 20th day in cinemas. The Aditya Dhar-directed espionage thriller has surpassed the lifetime nett collection of Stree 2, which stood at approximately Rs 627.50 crore, to emerge as the second highest-grossing Hindi film ever.

Industry reports confirmed on December 25 that Dhurandhar crossed Rs 600 crore nett in India, overtaking Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which had finished its theatrical run at Rs 601.54 crore. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 17.75 crore on Day 20 (December 24), taking its India nett total to Rs 607.25 crore. Jio Studios later confirmed that the film’s overall nett collection had crossed Rs 640.20 crore by December 25.

With this, Dhurandhar now sits just behind Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi version), which holds the record as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time with over Rs 800 crore nett. Pushpa 2, led by Allu Arjun, also became the first Hindi film to enter the Rs 800 crore club, surpassing previous blockbusters such as Baahubali 2 and Jawan.

As Dhurandhar enters the Christmas and New Year holiday period, its box-office momentum is expected to remain strong. The film still has nearly a month before its Netflix premiere on January 30, 2026, giving it a significant theatrical window to challenge Pushpa 2’s top position.

Produced by Jio Studios in collaboration with B62 Studios, Dhurandhar features a strong ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan, with music composed by Shashwat Sachdev. If current trends continue, the film could potentially rewrite Hindi cinema box-office history once again.
