
Delhi's air quality reached the 'severe' category on Friday morning, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 433, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The AQI scale ranges from 0 to 50, which is considered 'good,' and increases to 51-100 (satisfactory), 101-200 (moderate), 201-300 (poor), 301-400 (very poor), and 401-500 (severe).
In addition to the alarming air quality, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 7.5°C, which is 2.5°C higher than the season's average, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The humidity level at 8:30 AM was at 100 percent. The IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies throughout the day, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 24°C.
