Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on October 15 released its third and final list of 18 candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025.

Key names include Bina Devi from Kochadhaman and Sanjay Pandey from Narkatiaganj. Earlier, BJP had released a second list of 12 candidates, including singer Maithili Thakur from Alinagar and former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted India’s economic growth, noting that the IMF has raised its estimate for 2025 to 6.6%, citing robust consumer spending and investment.

The NDA has finalised its seat-sharing arrangement: BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each, LJP (Ram Vilas) 29, and smaller allies Rashtriya Lok Morcha and Hindustani Awam Morcha six seats each.

Congress has announced 11 candidates so far but has not yet finalised a Mahagathbandhan seat-sharing deal. Party workers have raised complaints about ticket allocation, alleging irregularities.

JD(U) released 57 candidates, including some from seats initially allotted to LJP (RV), reflecting a partial reshuffle. Strategic vacancies have been created for key leaders from NDA allies.

Elections for all 243 constituencies are scheduled for November 6 and 11, 2025, with counting on November 14. Campaigns are underway, with parties focusing on grassroots mobilisation, key constituencies, and local leadership dynamics.
