Patna: Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) [JDU] on Wednesday announced its first list of 57 candidates for the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, even as tensions simmer within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
The list has stirred controversy as the JDU has nominated candidates in four constituencies that had been claimed by Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), signalling potential seat-sharing friction within the ruling alliance.
