After enduring days of intense heat and soaring temperatures, residents in Srinagar finally got relief as rain showers swept across the Valley.

The change in weather brought cooler conditions and much-needed respite from the heatwave that had affected the region in recent days.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that cloudy skies and scattered rainfall are likely to persist over the next few days.

However, the relief may only be temporary. Weather officials say dry conditions are expected to return after May 25, which could once again lead to a rise in temperatures.

With the summer season still underway, residents may have to prepare for warmer days ahead. But for now, the rainfall has offered a refreshing break from the scorching heat.
