Shubman Gill produced a captain's knock with a scintillating 104 off 53 balls as Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in Qualifier 2 of the IPL at Mullanpur on Friday to book a place in the final.

Chasing a daunting target of 215, the 2022 champions raced to 219 for three in just 18.4 overs, with a blistering 167-run opening partnership between Gill and Sai Sudharsan. Gill smashed 15 fours and three sixes, while Sudharsan contributed a rapid 58 off 32 deliveries.

Rajasthan Royals posted 214 for six after opting to bat first on a used surface. Teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi starred with a magnificent 96 off 47 balls, narrowly missing a century, while Donovan Ferreira's unbeaten 38 provided late acceleration. Gujarat Titans will now face defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Sunday's final in Ahmedabad.
