‘Even 250 isn’t safe’: RCB captain Rajat Patidar on IPL’s batting domination ahead of GT clash
Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar has admitted that bowlers are struggling to survive in the IPL’s high-scoring era, where even totals above 250 are no longer safe.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar on Tuesday expressed concern over the growing dominance of batters in the IPL, saying bowlers are finding it increasingly difficult to survive in an era where 200-plus totals have become routine. Ahead of RCB’s Qualifier 1 clash against Gujarat Titans in Dharamsala on Tuesday, Patidar admitted that even massive scores of 220 to 250 are no longer safe in the tournament, making life particularly challenging for fast bowlers.
The RCB skipper also avoided commenting on the controversy surrounding the IPL final being shifted from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad. The BCCI reportedly moved the title clash citing operational concerns, crowd management issues and heavy ticket demand in Bengaluru.
