India's electronics exports soar as smartphone shipments hit USD 30 billion. Ashwini Vaishnaw highlights semiconductor and tech growth
India’s electronics exports, smartphone manufacturing, semiconductor industry and technology sector have witnessed remarkable growth, transforming the country into a trusted global manufacturing hub, says Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Vaishnaw said India now exports electronics products to major economies, including the United States, China, France, Germany and Italy. He noted that smartphone exports touched USD 30 billion in 2025, making mobile phones India’s largest exported product. The minister highlighted that India exported electronics components worth nearly Rs 35,000 crore to China last year, reflecting the country’s growing role in global supply chains.
