Karnataka: Heavy rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds caused widespread damage in Eddala Bommayyanahatti village of Molakalmuru taluk in Chitradurga district of Karnataka. More than 15 electric poles were uprooted, disrupting power supply throughout the night and leaving residents, especially women and children, in darkness. Roof sheets of over 10 houses were blown away in the strong winds, while one house's roof collapsed, though the family escaped safely.
