Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds are also likely in Kerala between November 4 and 8. Wind speeds could reach 30-40 kmph.

Will schools and colleges remain closed on November 5?

The current IMD forecast does not indicate the possibility of school or college holidays in any Kerala district on Thursday, November 5, as no district is under a heavy rainfall alert for that day.

However, weather conditions could change. If heavy or more intense rainfall is forecast in the coming hours, decisions on closing educational institutions will depend on the conditions in the respective areas.

Any holiday will be announced only through official orders issued by district collectors or other competent authorities.

Students and parents have been advised to follow official announcements from district administrations and notices issued by their educational institutions for updates on holidays or changes to class schedules.
