Will schools and colleges remain closed on November 6?

The yellow alert issued for five districts on Friday has raised the possibility of school and college holidays in areas expected to receive heavy rainfall.

However, the IMD's yellow alert is a weather warning and does not amount to a holiday declaration. District authorities will assess the local situation before deciding whether educational institutions should remain closed.

Any holiday will be announced through official orders issued by the respective district collectors or other competent authorities.

Students and parents are advised to follow announcements from district administrations and notices issued by their educational institutions. They should not treat the weather alert alone as confirmation of a holiday or a change in class schedules.
