Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Malayalam legend Mohanlal recently shared a warm social media exchange that had fans across the country smiling. After Mohanlal shared a heartfelt birthday message for Shah Rukh, the superstar responded warmly, reminiscing about their meeting at the National Film Awards earlier this year.

The 71st National Film Awards turned out to be a star-studded affair, and one of its most talked-about highlights was the moment Shah Rukh Khan and Mohanlal shared a warm hug at the event.
Veteran actor Mohanlal honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023, the highest recognition in Indian cinema.
Shah Rukh Khan, often referred to as the "King of Bollywood," received his first National Film Award after more than three decades in the industry. His recent film ‘Jawan’ not only became one of the year’s biggest box office successes but also showcased his action prowess and emotional depth, earning him critical and popular acclaim.
The image of the two legends greeting each other went viral almost instantly, symbolising mutual respect that transcends language and industry lines. Fans called it “a frame for the ages”, uniting Bollywood and Mollywood in one embrace.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan recently confirmed his next major project, titled ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film will see Khan reunite with his daughter Suhana Khan and actor Abhishek Bachchan.
Mohanlal has announced his next big project ‘Patriot’, a major scale‐up multi-star film featuring the likes of Mammootty, Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara.
