Pranav Mohanlal, son of superstar Mohanlal, is known for his humble and grounded lifestyle. Pranav has always kept a low profile and stayed away from the glitz and glamour. While he has acted in a handful of films, his decision to avoid the spotlight and live modestly often surprises fans.
Recently, Alleppey Ashraf, a noted producer and director, shared an incident involving Pranav while on the sets of Barroz, a film directed by Mohanlal, which was being shot in Spain. Ashraf narrates how Pranav arrived to meet his father but was stopped by a security guard at the location. The guard, unaware of who Pranav was, strictly followed instructions to not allow anyone onto the set.
Pranav had arrived at the shooting location in an Uber, dressed simply, and the security guard did not recognise him. When asked about his visit, Pranav explained that he had come to see his father. Despite this, the security guard informed him that entry was not permitted under any circumstances. Pranav, with a calm smile, did not argue and simply stood there.
After a while, the security guard, suspicious about the situation, notified the shooting team, saying that a boy was standing outside and wanted to meet his father. He asked them to verify if he was indeed related to someone on set. Aneesh Upasana, the photographer and director present at the shoot that day, recognised Pranav. When the security guard was informed who Pranav was, even the security guard was shocked and taken aback.
Ashraf went on to highlight how Pranav has never used his celebrity status or the fact that he is Mohanlal’s son to gain privileges. While he comes from a family that owns a collection of luxury cars, he prefers to travel by bus and train. He is known for riding in sleeper and general compartments on trains. Ashraf also noted that Pranav avoids alcohol and intoxicants.
