2. Registering and logging in

- Enter your mobile number and verify the OTP sent to your phone.
- Registration is now complete, and you can access UMANG services.
On the UMANG mobile app:

- A pop-up will ask if you wish to share location data for personalized services.

- EPFO Services: Check your Provident Fund (PF) balance, apply for PF claims, and track applications.
- LPG Services: Book gas cylinders, request refills, manage subsidies, and surrender connections.
- Income Tax Payments: Pay taxes via Challan 280, track tax applications, and check status.
- Passport Seva: Track passport applications, locate centers, and check appointment availability.
- Pension Services: Apply for pensions and check retirement benefits.
- CBSE Services: Check exam results, including Class 10/12, CTET, NET, and JEE.
- Crop Insurance: Calculate insurance premiums and coverage amounts for crops.
- Driving License & Vehicle Services: Access Parivahan Sewa to check vehicle and driving license details.
4. Using a service on UMANG
To check EPF balance:
- Open UMANG and go to EPFO Services.
- Select Employee Centric and enter your UAN number.
- Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to log in.
- View PF balance and other account details.
Making Income Tax Payments via UMANG
UMANG allows users to pay income tax online using Challan 280.
Steps to Pay Income Tax:
- Open UMANG and select Pay Income Tax.
- Choose between:
- Challan 280 (for new tax payments).
- Track Challan (to check past tax payments).
- Fill in required details such as PAN number, tax type, assessment year, and bank details.
- Click Submit, review the challan, and proceed to the bank’s internet banking portal to complete the payment.
- Upon completion, you will receive a Challan Serial Number, Challan Tender Date, and BSR Code for future reference.
