New Delhi: The Delhi Government on Monday announced a free one-year residential coaching programme for Class 12 students preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) in government and government-aided schools under a scholarship offered by the Pune-based Dakshana Foundation.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a circular informing all government and government-aided schools about the initiative, which aims to support meritorious and deserving science students aspiring to pursue engineering and medical courses.

Selection for the programme will be based on the Joint Dakshana Selection Test (JSDT) 2027, scheduled to be held in December this year.

According to the DoE circular, the scholarship is open to students currently studying in Class 12 (Science) in government and government-aided schools during the ongoing academic session.

Students selected through the entrance test will receive one year of free residential coaching at Dakshana Valley, the foundation's campus in Kadus village in Maharashtra's Pune district.

The scholarship will cover the entire cost of the programme, including coaching, accommodation and meals, ensuring that students can prepare for the highly competitive entrance examinations without any financial burden, the department said.
