Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University; Venkataramannagudem, Tadepalligudem, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh-534 101; has invited applications for Admission to M.Sc.(Horticulture) and Ph.D.(Horticulture) Programmes 2023-24 at College of Horticulture, Venkataramannagudem and College of Horticulture, Anantharajupeta.

Admissions are open for M.Sc.(Horticulture) from candidates of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (as per applicability) and Other States (outside state quota) and Ph.D.(Horticulture) programme for the candidates of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (as per applicability).

Eligibility: Applicants should have qualified and secured rank in subject group of ICAR-AIEEA (PG)-2023 & ICAR-AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D)-2023. The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1.7.2023.

For admission to M.Sc Horticulture in (i) Fruit Science (ii) Vegetable Science (iii) Floriculture and Landscaping (iv) Plantation, Spices, Medicinal and Aromatic Crops and (v) Post Harvest Management; applicant should have passed B.Sc.(Hort.) / B.Sc.(Hons.) Hort of 4 years’ duration and secured minimum specified OGPA/marks as given in the Information Booklet at https://drysrhu.ap.gov.in/ (Educational Notifications link).

For admission to Ph.D in (i) Fruit Science (ii) Vegetable Science (iii) Floriculture and Landscaping (iv) Plantation, Spices, Medicinal and Aromatic Crops and (v) Post Harvest Management; applicant should have passed B.Sc.(Hort.) / B.Sc.(Hons.) Hort. (4 years’ duration) & Master’s degree in the same discipline/ Subject. The minimum OGPA in the Masters Programme should be 6.50/10.00 from ICAR Accredited Universities.

Those who have qualified and secured rank in ICAR AIEEA(PG)-2023 and ICAR AICE JRF/SRF (Ph.D) 2023 are eligible for admission into Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree respectively. The student applied for a subject group has to produce rank card in that subject group only.
