Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics University, Bengaluru Jnanabharati Main Road, Nagarbhavi P.O, Bengaluru – 560072 has notified its admissions to Post Graduate Programs for 2025-26.

There are 2 Post Graduate Programs offered by the University, both of 2 years’ duration (i) M.Sc. Economics [35 seats for Indian candidates + 5 seats for PIO/FN] (ii) M.Sc. Financial Economics [35 seats for Indian candidates + 5 seats for PIO/ FN].

Eligibility: Applicants should have completed B.Sc./B.A (Honours) in Economics or B.Sc./ B.A in Economics with Mathematics and Statistics/Econometrics as major courses in the degree with minimum of 55% (50% for SC/ST) in aggregate or B.Sc./B.A Economics with at least 2 papers of Mathematics [for Economics] and 2 papers of Statistics [for Economics]/ Econometrics with Mathematics as a core subject in 2nd PUC/12th standard/10+2/ Equivalent Examination with minimum of 55% (50% for SC/ST) in aggregate.

Selection: Selection will be based on performance in Common University Entrance Test - CUET-PG 2025 to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), by considering test paper code no. COQP10 (Economics) in CUET PG 2025. For PIO/ Foreign Nationals, appearance for CUET-2025 is not compulsory. Admission will be based on the merit list of the performance in the respective qualifying examination.

Details of Admission Procedure: Admissions offered will be confirmed subject to physical verification of documents relating to eligibility criteria. The following admission eligibility list will be prepared by the University on the basis of CUET-PG Score secured in question paper code COQP10 in CUET 2025, Eligibility criteria and as per the reservation roster. Merit list will be published on the University website www.base.ac.in. (a) All States including Karnataka candidates merit list (b) Karnataka candidate merit list (c) Kalyana Karnataka candidates merit list. 

If any seats remain unfilled under 'Karnataka Category', such seats will be converted to 'All States including Karnataka Category and vice-versa. While converting Karnataka category to All State category, first preference will be given to All State Candidates who have resided for not less than Ten years in Karnataka subject to producing domicile certificate. Those desirous of admission to these PG Courses at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics University, Bengaluru need to opt for this University as one of the options as a preference in CUET application at NTA website and also need to fill separate application at www.base.ac.in.  

Application for CUET PG 2025 can be submitted at https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/ by 11.50 pm on February 1, 2025 and that to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics University, Bengaluru will be one week after NTA CUET 2025 PG result declaration.
