Ather Energy hosted its Community Day on August 30, 2025, to announce a new phase for electric two-wheelers. The highlight was the introduction of the next-generation EL platform, a scalable electric vehicle architecture designed for improved durability, maintainability, and ride quality. This new unibody steel chassis and swingarm-mounted motor will be produced at the company's new Aurangabad factory and will be the foundation for its upcoming models.

To demonstrate the capabilities of the new EL platform, Ather revealed two distinct concept scooters. The EL01 is a refined, urban-centric scooter focused on comfort and agility, offering a glimpse into the brand’s near-future product lineup. The Redux is a more radical “moto-scooter” concept, blending the nimbleness of a scooter with the aggressive styling and performance of a motorcycle, showcasing Ather's ambition to push design boundaries.
Smarter Software with AtherStack 7.0
Ather announced a major software upgrade, AtherStack 7.0, which introduces voice interaction powered by a large language model tuned to Indian dialects. This update includes new safety features like Crash Alerts and Pothole Alerts, as well as creative Infinite Cruise modes that allow for a more personalised riding experience.
Next-Generation Fast Charging
The company also unveiled its new 6kW fast charger, which is more compact and charges scooters faster than the current models. Some of these chargers will also come with integrated tire inflators for added rider convenience.
Updates for the Ather Rizta and a Growing Community
Existing Ather Rizta scooters will receive new over-the-air software updates and additional colour options. The updates include safety and convenience technologies such as ParkSafe parking alerts and LockSafe remote immobilisation. The event, held in Bengaluru, brought together Ather’s community of users and enthusiasts for interactive sessions and test rides, symbolising the brand’s expanding ecosystem.
