Samsung announced on Tuesday that its latest software update, One UI 7, will begin rolling out on April 7, introducing a redesigned interface and AI-powered features to enhance user experience. The update will first be available on the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6, before expanding to a wider range of Samsung devices.

Refined Design for Greater Personalization

One UI 7 features a streamlined and cohesive design, offering a more intuitive and customizable user experience. A simplified home screen, redesigned widgets, and an upgraded lock screen allow users to personalize their devices with ease.

A key addition is Now Bar, which provides real-time updates on the lock screen. Users can monitor their morning run progress or check what’s playing on their Galaxy Buds without unlocking the phone.

AI-Driven Features for a Smarter Experience

Samsung has integrated Galaxy AI into One UI 7 to enhance productivity and creativity. AI Select allows users to convert videos into GIFs with a simple swipe on the Edge Panel, while Writing Assist helps summarize or format text with ease.

For creative users, Drawing Assist allows for text-based and sketch-based input, making digital art creation more accessible. Audio Eraser provides advanced sound editing by isolating and removing unwanted noise from videos.

Deeper Google Gemini Integration

With Google Gemini built into the system, users can control their devices using natural voice commands. By long-pressing the side button, users can ask for restaurant recommendations or other real-time information in a seamless interaction.

Natural language search in Settings makes it easier to adjust preferences. For instance, saying “My eyes are feeling tired” will instantly bring up options like brightness adjustments or Eye Comfort Shield activation.

Availability Across Samsung Devices

One UI 7 will be available from April 7, expanding to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the following weeks. Supported devices include:
