London: After officially confirming that the Nothing Phone (3) will feature a 50MP periscope camera lens, Nothing has returned to the spotlight with a new leak—this time detailing the specifications of its first over-ear headphone. As reported by Android Headlines and shared by tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming Nothing Headphone (1) are expected to offer up to 80 hours of battery life and weigh just 329 grams.

The new over-ear headphone will weigh approximately 329 grams. While this makes them heavier than Sony’s WH-1000XM6 headphones, which come in at about 252 grams, they remain lighter than Apple’s AirPods Max, which weigh 384 grams. Nothing has boldly claimed that their new headphones will outperform the AirPods Max in various aspects.

For audio performance, the headphones are likely to be equipped with 40mm drivers. Nothing has collaborated with renowned British audio brand KEF to fine-tune the sound quality. KEF is widely recognised for its premium audio products, including speakers, subwoofers, and headphones. The partnership mirrors industry moves like Samsung’s integration of Harman Kardon, AKG, and JBL into its audio ecosystem following its acquisition of Harman.

Battery life is another highlight. With Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) turned off, users can expect up to 80 hours of playback. Enabling ANC reportedly reduces this to around 35 hours when using the AAC codec. For those using the LDAC codec, battery life stands at 54 hours with ANC off and approximately 30 hours with ANC on.

The headphone is said to support Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, Dual Connection, and on-head detection. Other features include LED indicators for charging, low lag mode, a personal sound profile, and integration with Google’s Find My Device service.

The Nothing Headphone (1) are scheduled to launch on July 1, alongside the Nothing Phone (3).
