Amazon has announced a major expansion of Amazon Now, its quick-commerce service that allows customers to order products and receive them within minutes. The company will launch more than 100 Urban Fulfillment Centers across India, significantly increasing the range of products available through the platform.

Amazon Now was initially focused on groceries, fresh produce, personal care products and daily essentials. With the new Urban Fulfillment Centers, customers will also be able to order electronics, fashion, jewellery, footwear, luggage, watches, furniture, wireless accessories, musical instruments, baby products, pet supplies, healthcare supplements and small appliances with rapid delivery.

The company said the new centres will offer four times more selection than currently available on Amazon Now. The rollout will begin in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad and Mumbai ahead of Prime Day 2026.

The expansion builds on Amazon's previously announced plan to take Amazon Now to 100 cities through a network of more than 1,000 Micro-Fulfillment Centers. According to Amazon, the initiative is backed by advanced technology, AI-driven inventory planning and a logistics network designed to bring products closer to customers.

The move is part of Amazon's investment of more than ₹2,800 crore in India and reflects the company's growing focus on the fast-expanding quick-commerce market, where consumers increasingly expect deliveries in minutes rather than days.
