A Pakistani official has shared details of high-level discussions between Iran and Pakistan, highlighting ongoing dialogue on regional security, US-related demands, and diplomatic coordination.
Islamabad: According to a Pakistani official briefing, discussions between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan’s military leadership are continuing as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between Iran and Pakistan.
The talks reportedly focused on broader regional developments, including tensions involving the United States and security dynamics in West Asia.

The official statement indicated that a direct meeting with a United States delegation has not yet been finalised. It was also stated that Araghchi conveyed Iran’s position on key regional issues during discussions with Pakistan’s Army Chief, including assurances that there are no internal divisions among Iranian leadership.
Reported demands mentioned in the briefing:
- Lifting of restrictions described as a “siege” on Iran
- Ending of US-linked military or air attacks
- Rejection of certain American demands in ongoing diplomatic discussions
- Emphasis on Iran’s position and reservations regarding US proposals
- Communication of these demands as reflecting the stance of Iran’s leadership
In addition, Araghchi is said to have informed Pakistani counterparts that he carried specific demands reflecting the stance of Iran’s leadership. These demands reportedly include calls for the easing of restrictions and an end to military pressure linked to American actions in the region. Iran also expressed reservations regarding certain US expectations presented in diplomatic channels.
The meeting is being viewed as part of broader efforts by regional actors to manage escalating tensions and maintain diplomatic communication channels amid shifting geopolitical developments.
