Islamabad: An Iranian delegation is reportedly scheduled to arrive in Islamabad tonight following a series of high-level discussions between Iranian and Pakistani officials, according to a post shared by Pakistani journalist citing ARY News.

The report claims that Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi may be leading the delegation after an in-depth telephone conversation involving Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir. However, there has been no official confirmation from Iranian state media regarding the visit.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has separately confirmed that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a phone call with his Iranian counterpart to discuss regional developments and ceasefire-related issues. However, it did not mention any planned in-person visit or delegation arrival.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry also stated that Araghchi held separate telephone conversations with both Ishaq Dar and General Asim Munir, focusing on the evolving security situation in the region.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has commented on the ongoing Iran-related tensions, stating that there is no clear timeline for resolving the conflict. Speaking from the Oval Office, he reportedly said “don’t rush me” while referring to diplomatic efforts, and also pointed to internal divisions within Iran’s leadership as a challenge in negotiations.

Trump had earlier announced an extension of a ceasefire arrangement, citing the need for additional time for Tehran to present a unified position, while also referencing appeals from international stakeholders, including Pakistan’s leadership.

At this stage, the reported Iranian delegation visit remains unconfirmed by official Iranian sources, and details are still emerging as diplomatic communications continue across the region.
