Indian passport, visa and OCI applicants in Seattle will soon be able to complete all their consular work at a single location, as VFS Global shifts its Seattle operations to the same building as the Consulate General of India, starting January 26.

The Consulate General of India in Seattle announced the change in a post on social media platform X, saying that the Indian Consular Application Center operated by VFS Global will now function from:

Federal Reserve Building

Suite 804 (8th Floor)

1015 2nd Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104

Timings: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

The existing VFS Global Bellevue centre, located at Clover Building, 14450 NE 29th Place #117, Bellevue, WA 98007, will continue to serve applicants as usual.

How this helps applicants

With both VFS services and the Consulate now under one roof in Seattle, applicants will be able to handle document submissions, queries and consular-related issues at the same place. This is expected to reduce travel time, avoid multiple appointments at different locations, and make the overall application process faster and more convenient.

Officials said, "The co-location of Indian Consular Application Center in Seattle will help consular applicants seamlessly coordinate all their queries (including those with the Consulate) at a single location, enabling us to deliver a more efficient and applicant friendly interface."
