VerSe Innovation, parent of DailyHunt and Josh, posted 88% revenue growth in FY2025 and expects to achieve group-level profitability by H2 FY2026

VerSe Innovation, which operates news aggregator DailyHunt and short-video platform Josh, has recorded strong financial performance in FY2025, with revenue growth and reduced losses signalling a clear path to profitability.
The company’s revenue from operations surged by 88% year-on-year, rising from ₹1,029 crore in FY2024 to ₹1,930 crore in FY2025. Total revenue also grew 64% to ₹2,071 crore in FY2025, compared to ₹1,261 crore in FY2024, according to a report by Social News XYZ.
EBITDA margins showed a marked improvement, narrowing from -89% in FY2024 to -38% in FY2025, with a 20% reduction in EBITDA burn. The cost of services as a percentage of operational revenue declined from 112% in FY2024 to 77% in FY2025. Operating expenses (excluding non-cash items) were also reduced to 61% of operational revenue, down from 77% in the previous year.
VerSe Innovation expects to achieve group-level break-even and profitability in the second half of FY2026. The company attributes this trajectory to multiple factors: AI-led monetisation through its platform NexVerse.ai, subscription expansion via DailyHunt Premium, and enhanced community and creator engagement on Josh, including features such as Josh Audio Calling.
