Nok Air, a low-cost airline in Thailand operating mostly domestic services out of Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), is all set to revive its India routes.

The airline has planned daily flights from its Bangkok home base to Mumbai, starting October 27 to March 29, 2024 as part of its winter schedule.

The airline plans to deploy its Boeing 737-800 on the route offering 189 seats. The bookings for the new route opened on August 18, 2024.

Let us take a look at the detailed schedule:

* Flight DD938 will depart from Bangkok Don Mueang Airport (DMK) at 2205 and arrive in Mumbai (BOM) at 0105 past night

* Flight DD939 will depart Mumbai at 0205 and arrive in DMK at 0745.

On the booking page, the average round-trip fare on the DMK-BOM route is $340 (Over Rs 28,524).

Nok Air, recently was under severe financial crisis following COVID-19 pandemic and was almost about to be delisted by the Thailand Stock Exchange for its delays in submitting financial statements.

Nok Air also connects DMK to Hyderabad via four weekly flights, since March 2023.

If we look at the competing airlines on the DMK-BOM route, Nok Air will directly compete with Thai Lion Air which operates daily flights on the route.

Other airlines that operate daily flights from Thailand to India include Thai Airways International that connects Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to Mumbai with 11 weekly flights along with Air India, IndiGo and Vistara operating daily flights.
