The stabilising trend in the "yellow metal" comes as global markets react to cooling inflation data, while silver continues to suffer from aggressive profit-booking after its record-breaking rally in January.

In the national capital and other major hubs, the price for 24-carat gold remains anchored at ₹1,54,350 per 10 grams. This follows a volatile start to the year, where prices peaked near the ₹1.80 lakh mark before retreating.

Silver has emerged as the more volatile asset in the 2026 fiscal year. According to GoodReturns, silver prices have crashed to ₹2,55,000 per kilogram today. This represents a staggering 38% decline from the January all-time high of ₹4.10 lakh.
