
Thiruvananthapuram: With only four more days left for the draw, the 2024 Thiruvonam bumper lottery has seen impressive sales of 63 lakh tickets. The Kerala Lottery Department has issued a total of 70 lakh tickets, and currently, about seven lakh tickets are still available for purchase. The department is optimistic that all tickets will be sold out by the draw date.
In terms of district sales, Palakkad is once again leading with 11,76,990 tickets sold, including those from sub-offices. Following Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram has sold 8,24,140 tickets, while Thrissur has reported sales of 7,68,160 tickets. The remaining tickets, including those in other districts, are expected to sell out quickly as well.

In Thiruvananthapuram district, there are less than one lakh tickets left for sale. Meanwhile, Kollam district has 23,000 tickets remaining, Pathanamthitta has 12,000, Kottayam has 23,000 and Alappuzha has 15,000 tickets still available. Across other districts, ticket sales have been robust as well.
To combat fake lottery schemes, the awareness campaign has been ramped up, emphasising that state lottery tickets are exclusive to Kerala and are only available as paper lotteries. The campaign is being conducted in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu languages.
The Thiruvonam bumper lottery offers an enticing first prize of Rs 25 crore, a second prize of Rs 1 crore each for 20 winners, a third prize of Rs 50 lakh, additional prizes of Rs 5 lakh, Rs 2 lakh and a final prize of Rs 500.
