Kozhikode: A former KSEB supervisor has been sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment for accepting a bribe. The case involves Ramachandran, who was the overseer of the Koyilandy KSEB (Major) Section.
The sentence was handed down by the Kozhikode Vigilance Court in connection with an incident that occurred on 19 January 2010. The complainant in the case was the owner of a building in Cheliya, Koyilandy, who reported that Ramachandran had demanded a bribe of Rs 250 in exchange for providing an electricity connection.

The investigation was led by Vigilance DYSP Sunil Babu and his team. Vigilance inspectors K. Mohanadasan, E. Sunilkumar, and Sajesh Vazhalathil worked on the case, the chargesheet of which was later submitted to the court by DYSP A. J. George.
The prosecution was represented by Vigilance Public Prosecutor K. Arun Nath.
