Orange alert: very heavy rainfall in select districts

The IMD has issued orange alerts, warning of very heavy rainfall in specific areas. Isolated locations may receive 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm of rain within 24 hours.

  • October 20 (Monday): Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode
  • October 22 (Wednesday): Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam
  • October 23 (Thursday): Kozhikode, Wayanad
  • October 24 (Friday): Kannur, Kasaragod

Yellow alert: heavy rainfall expected

A yellow alert has been issued in several districts, predicting isolated heavy rainfall with 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain in 24 hours, often accompanied by lightning.

  • October 20 (Monday): Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod
